Release of the 2016 FAO-CIHEAM Joint edition of Mediterra entitled « Zero waste for the Mediterranean : Natural resources, Food and Knowledge »
The publication was launched in Rome on the 5th of December 2016, by the FAO Director General Mr José Graziano da Silva and the CIHEAM Secretary General Mr Cosimo Lacirignola, during a joint side-event gathering international experts and representatives from many countries of the world.

The Report offers an innovative and prospective approach on the issues of triple waste reduction including agricultural losses, waste of natural resources and waste of knowledge and knowhow. Mediterra 2016 is linked to green growth, sustainable development and food security and nutrition challenges in the context of the 2030 Development Agenda. The Report features a collection of shared expertise and local experiences in the Mediterranean region. It provides the keys to reading and solutions for action targeting policy-makers, development operators, professionals and researchers.
Please also note that the 2016 FAO-CIHEAM Joint edition of Mediterra will be presented in Sciences-Po Paris on January 24 afternoon.
